Metabolic Health
Markers we Test:
Glucose
Measures blood sugar at the time of testing. High or low values indicate how well the body regulates energy and can flag diabetes risk.
Hemoglobin A1c (HbA1c)
Reflects average blood sugar levels over the past 2–3 months. A key marker for diagnosing and monitoring diabetes.
Estimated Average Glucose (mmol/L)
Converts HbA1c into an easy-to-understand average glucose value in mmol/L for long-term tracking.
Estimated Average Glucose (mg/dL)
Another conversion of HbA1c, expressed in mg/dL, making results more comparable with daily glucose monitoring.
Uric Acid
A byproduct of metabolism that, when elevated, can signal gout, kidney problems, or metabolic dysfunction linked to heart disease.
Insulin
The hormone that regulates blood sugar by moving glucose into cells. High levels may indicate insulin resistance or prediabetes.
Corrected Calcium (Albumin-adjusted)
Accounts for protein levels when measuring calcium. Ensures calcium readings accurately reflect bone, nerve, and heart health.
(Triglyceride – Glucose Index) – TyG Index
A calculated marker of insulin resistance and metabolic health. Higher values suggest increased risk of diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
